Spell-a-thons are a fun, easy fundraising event for PTAs, PTOs, and school clubs. To run your own Spell-a-thon, all you have to do is get students to gather pledges from friends, family members, and neighbors for the number of words they spell correctly.

Then, you'll host a spelling bee and keep track of how many words each child gets right. After the event, you'll collect your donations!

For many organizers, the only hard part of hosting a Spell-a-thon is coming up with the words for the spelling bee. That's why we've compiled this list of words appropriate for grades 1-8:
